ZeroTier on Openpli

Hi,

Because I like the concept of ZeroTier, I tried to find a sw package for openpli/enigma2. Is this available or did someone compiled it for this platform ?

So far no luck

Thud branch.

Good evening.I put together for a test on thud branch.I understand that the version is test but maybe someone already tried to collect on it.For my et11000 4k collects without errors but does not work exteplayer3 when included in serviceapp.With the same settings system and ffmpeg but on zeus branch exteplayer3 works.I collected on openssl 1.1.1 but on 1.02 also does not work.My knowledge is not enough to solve this problem.I don’t know where else to ask.

And with sumo branch need to add this patch for dhcp.On zeus branch a patch is not needed.

Wish for an option

Hello people!

Since more than 10 years I hope to use an option. Mybe you can realise it in your future img.

A record of sream on a client box from a server box doesn't work. Client and server are connected with only LAN cables (client has no SAT, tuners off), home network.I tried two paths: plugin remotestreamconverter or reserve receiver Client box has intern HD, stream incl. EPG goes from server on client, no problems. But a record on client doesn't work. Server has enough free tuners, that is no problem. It's missing an option in img, I think.

I hope you can build in that function, mybe....

Thank's for your work!

python3 python-wifi module

Hi all,

I saw that OpenPli still uses python2. I was looking at the source-code and saw that there was at least 1 module which is no longer maintained but is used in this project, namely python-wifi. So I thought why not even turn this one into python3. It is also a learning path for me, but it all seems to go smoothly so far. It's a start and it also works with python 2.7. All get functions seem to work, I have yet to do the setters.

PLay current service without audio

Hi i'm trying how to play the current service without audio , i found out that there is this method in the backend , this method called whenever i change the audio or the language

but the eDVBAudio class is not imported to enigma.py so i can call it in the frontend

void eDVBAudio::stop()
{
	if (m_fd >= 0)
	{
		eDebugNoNewLineStart("[eDVBAudio%d] AUDIO_STOP ", m_dev);
		if (::ioctl(m_fd, AUDIO_STOP) < 0)
			eDebugNoNewLine("failed: %m\n");
		else
			eDebugNoNewLine("ok\n");
	}
	if (m_fd_demux >= 0)
	{
		eDebugNoNewLineStart("[eDVBAudio%d] DEMUX_STOP ", m_dev);
		if (::ioctl(m_fd_demux, DMX_STOP) < 0)
			eDebugNoNewLine("failed: %m\n");
		else
			eDebugNoNewLine("ok\n");
	}
}

i want to know how this event is called how enigma knows when the audio change , back to my question now can i play the current service without audio ?

Thanks

Hi,

kodi_18 is still failing on vuduo2 (and probably on vusolo2 and vusolose as well).

With the latest changes and fixes kodi spits out this crashlog:

Now to rule out the differences with other distros:

- toolchain seems the same, verify again...

- version of ancillary utils (libfmt, libmicrohttpd, libnfs, etc)

- different egl patch,  outstanding this diff:

 + list(APPEND DEPLIBS ${CMAKE_SOURCE_DIR}/xbmc/windowing/egl/gles_init.a EGL GLESv2 dvb_base nxpl xbmc_base dvb_client)

I have been suggested to totally rule out gold linker, not only for kodi.

I'll probably try a rebuild forcing bfd.

devel: build with security flags enabled

Hello,

as I do with my other OE distros I've run a build of devel image adding to local.conf:   require conf/distro/include/security_flags.inc

There are a few recipes really needing to be patched: I just hacked the compiler flags to make it build.
these are in meta-openpli:

This is just for info, here users run with root privileges...neverthless compiling with hardened flags is normally the right thing to do.

devel: build against musl libc

Hi,

I run a build of OpenPLi image with TCLIBC = "musl" to evaluate speed and size savings.

Well, I knew before that in my case the Vu+ private libs are compiled against an older glibc so it is really not possible at the moment to link at runtime with musl instead of ld.

Neverthless here the changes needed in meta-openpli:

For vuduo2 then you should provide workarounds for the runtime dependencies (i.e. libm) so it is at the moment very complicated with prebuilt solibs.

I've installed the openpli build environment on a raspi server.

When I tried to compile I got 3 error messages as you can see below.

It seems that there is something missing for the support of 'armv7l' architecture.

What needs to be done to solve this issue?

Does a EPG translator app/extention exist?

Is there an extension which can translate foreign EPG into Dutch or English?

There are a lot of nice channels out there and also a lot of these channels can be set on English language :)

The problem is they have EPG but this almost always in the language of the country where the channel is focussed on, for example Spain, Italy etc

The EPG is often complete in the foreign language and unreadable....

So i was looking if there is an addon/extension which can translate these EPG files into Dutch or Enlish (maybe using google translate?!?)

Hello Folks,

Hope you are doing well.

I apologize if this the wrong section or if question was already asked.

I am looking for a plugin for Openpli 8 on VU+ that runs IPTV channels based on a portal url and MAC address.

I checked online plugins server and did notr seem to find it.

I tried some "external" plugins like X-Streamity and StreamTV and all of them require username/password (like m3u format), while only info I have is portal url + MAC address.

Could anyone please direct me to the right plugin ?

Thanks so much in advance

Sundtek SkyTV Ultimate Dual (2x DVB-S2X) USB tuner

Checked on the image OpenPLi 8.0(VU+solo4K/Zgemma H9 twin).

1)Blindscan OK(tested 13E)

2)Recording OK(two recordings HD services from two tuners simultaneously)

3)Multistream DVB-S2X OK(tested 4.8E)

4)Unicable LNB OK(tested Inverto IDLB-QUDL43-UNE1L-OPP)

5)Stream OK

6)Rotor OK(tested Stab HH 100)

7)PiP OK

So far there is a problem with automatic detection of the second tuner, but the manufacturer(Sundtek) promises to fix it in new drivers.
