Dear all,

I remember that the old webif implemented a CGI command to start a plugin. Is there any command in the OpenWebIf providing the same feature ???

Thanks for your help. 

I use Avermedia A835B(2835) roughly a half year. After installation everything was fine, usb stick was registered and running well.

I used it after several month again (it is only backup source) and I observe distorted sound. The same result is on both Solo2, which I have,

but if I use it on Win7 or Win10, sound is ok. It seems to me that it is related to latest kernel change when probably some libraries have been changed.

Could somebody help me to find the reason and possibly to fix it? Thanx in advance.

XBMCAddons is for running xbmc addons on enigma2 images. Tested on dm500hd and et9500. New version XBMCAddons.v5.0 is attached below.

Addons, script-modules and software can be installed on-line.

Select Addons in the first screen for options (see screenshot). After install - return to first screen and select Addons again

Please install all software in Install Software (screenshot.jpg). Always install the latest "update" item. After installing "update" item - Restart enigma.

OE1.6 and images with python2.6:

Please install all software for OE1.6 - then reboot image.

ADDON SETTINGS:

Addon settings are in addon folder /resources/settings.xml. Many settings are not useful for enigma2. But you may change language, country etc. Put your chosen settings in default=. But for type="labelenum", put your choice as the last in the values list. 

BUG REPORTS :

If you have any problem - post the crashlog. If no crashlog - in first screen - select Debug -> 'Yes'. Exit plugin and telnet commands :-

init 4
killall -9 enigma2
enigma2>/tmp/e.log 2>&1 &

Start plugin again. When you have the error - copy the file /tmp/e.log - zip or rar it - and post here

The new plugin version KodiDirect.v.3.0 ia attached below.
This version was necessary because v.2.0 cannot be fresh installed in some boxes.

With plugin KodiDirect the user can choose from hundreds of Kodi addons to play on tv via receivers with enigma2.

The addons can be installed from .zip versions or from Kodi repositories. Some specially converted addons are also available from the support forum www.xtrend-alliance.com.

In oe-alliance, there is a sat/ip client, utlilizing the vtuner interface on some boxes. https://github.com/oe-alliance/satip-client

I have setup a satip server by using minisatip https://github.com/catalinii/minisatip on a remote server that has access to satellites which cannot be received locally. Now I want to use those tuners (bandwidth is available) but the sat/ip client requires the server to be on the same lan in order to detect it from multicast. It would be nice to be able to setup the ip/ports manually and without discovery.

How can I reach the maintainer? atvcaptain seems to making the commits.

BTW, this is a nice package to add in OpenPLi build server too.

Satellite scan and russian provider with satfinder

There is a big problem today when channels change TPS and we need maintain favourites manually. Based on this idea https://github.com/gravatasufoca/enima2-genfav is possible generate favourites based on patterns on a TXT file. Example:

Flash Install : Please note :-

The image can be installed in flash with Dreamup - or on multiboot with Barry Allen.

If installed in flash it will have a free memory of 3.8mb. If Memory Expander (Extra Setup -> Increase memory) is used the free memory increases to 10.0mb.

Tips :-

Teletext (tuxtxt):

Enable/disable via Extra Setup. When teletext is enabled - long press and some other buttons do not work. Also numbers input do not work properly.

Video playback - fast forward/backward (seek action) :

Number buttons work with tv channel recordings. Seek action does not work with vlcplayer downloads.
However, button 0 will put position marker in vlcplayer downloads for restarting.

Plugin Enhancedmoviecenter :

Requires teletext to be enabled. Otherwise it will crash.

Starts enigma1 features. Uses enigma2 installed daemons. No need to install again.

Hello,

Im trying to adapt gstreamer for e2transcoder ( http://forums.openpli.org/topic/37361-db-transcoder/ ) it currently use ffmpeg or avlib. It is necessary because i would like to run this app also on Raspberry PI2. To transcode on Pi2 should be used gstreamer because it have HW h264 encoding support. ffmpeg or avlib could not be used because there is not enought CPU power.

But so far i can not write a gst-launch string in console which transcodes e2 stream, all time i got various errors. Maybe someone can write working command string which converts e2 stream to h264 hls stream.

Attached is a plugin to play streams from a Acestream server.

Method :-

Acestream Player How to

1. If you do not have Ace Player HD (vlc) already installed on your pc - first uninstall any installed vlc mediaplayer. Next find and install :-

Ace_Stream_Media_2.2.4.1-next.exe

2. Start Ace Player HD (vlc). Configure player :

Tools -> Preferences -> All -> Interfaces -> Main Interfaces -> Select Web -> Exit

3. Configure host :

Find the path to the folder player by rightclick on the Ace player icon. Mine is (for example) -

"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\ACEStream\player\ace_player.exe"

Then do - ACEStream\player -> lua -> http - find file HOSTS. Insert the receiver ip (without #)

(Sometimes ACEStream deletes this change after pc reboot. So check.)

4. Install plugin AcestreamPlayer (attached). Start plugin. Config - insert server ip and

location of your user acestream url list. Default location /media/usb. Example list attached.

Check with BT Sport 2 (working in uk).

Everyone knows how is boring when channels change and you get a "UNKNOWN" on your Favourites. AutoFavourites Plugin can generate favourites based on a configuration file and channel names.

Installation

Create a file /etc/autoFavourites.cfg with content as example:

Hi,

I'm from Poland. It is important because our alphabet contains a few more characters than English. So when sorting alphabetically Single EPG list or list of recordings some strings was located in different positions than expected. To get the proper order I've made some modifications to EpgList.py and MovieList.py (attached). The modification tries to load, if exists, locale setting from LC_COLLATE file suitable for the user settings (in mys system: /usr/lib/locale/pl_PL/LC_COLLATE). If load is successul the lists are sorted according to language rules, if no sorting works as usual.

The modifications seems to work properly for the Polish language I'm using. But some user experienced GS after substitution of the files. There was no information in GS related to EpgList.py nor MovieList.py but I've tried to rewrite the changes in the other way. Two other versions of the EpgList.py can be found also in the attached file.

Any comments for the changes are welcome
