hello
first of all, id like to say Hi to everybody, this is my first post on the forum
im reaching out to this community, because i didnt get help elsewhere
i have a weird problem, which started several months ago, but i was still unable to figgure it out :-(
i already described my problem on BH forum, please read the details there:
http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/recording-problem.26732/
...yes, i was using BH image, but i also tested openpli and it was behaving exactly the same way
id like to point out the fact from my post in BH forum, that some channels dont have the C:xxxx in lamedb and those are fine
with the information i have now, i think that my provider changed something that results in CAid in my lamedb file (also for FTA channels)
i checked some configuration backups, and the FTA channels really didnt have the C:xxxx line in lamedb before
please, correct me if im wrong, but i think that when i zap to a channel, it reads some kind of data from the stream and automatically updates the information in lamedb
this data also includes that the channel should use CAM (like its encrypted, even tho its really FTA, because i can watch it also without CAM inserted) and that results in C:xxxx added in lamedb
this is probably why i see for a brief moment after i zap to channel that it is using Common Interface CO (conax) and then after 1-2 sec it switches to FTA
1)
id like to ask if it would be possible to create, lets say a plugin, where i would be able to manually set whether a channel is FTA or CAS which would overide the normal behavior
this way maybe i wont have the glitch i was decrbing in the link .. and it might work correctly again
2)
or somehow disable updating of certain fields in lamedb .. ie: allow only to update audio and video pids, but not the CAid pids
or if u have any other idea or hints that i could try, please let me know
thank you in advance, i hope somebody will be able to help me
